Best Wordpress Theme for Dietitians and Nutritionists

Let’s face it: you already make a million decisions a day—from what to cook for dinner to what reel to post this week. So when it comes to picking a WordPress theme for your dietitian website? Let’s simplify.

Hi, I’m Jess—a web designer who lives on meal prep, Diet Dr Pepper, and twisty thrillers—and I help dietitians and nutrition pros get websites that actually bring in clients. I’ve worked with dozens of dietitians, and the #1 thing I hear when they come to me is:

“I just want something that looks professional, is easy to use, and doesn’t make me want to scream when I try to update it.”

Sound familiar?

Let’s talk about the best theme I recommend for dietitians using WordPress—and why you don’t actually need a niche-specific theme to have a great site. (Also, if you’re considering Squarespace at all, I’ve created a pre-designed Squarespace template just for dietitians.)

Why I Don’t Recommend Themes Like Cookely or Foodie Pro

It’s tempting to grab a theme made just for food bloggers or dietitians. Cookely and Foodie Pro are two that pop up a lot in this space—and they do a decent job for what they are. Clean layouts, recipe features, and dietitian-friendly vibes.

But here’s the thing: niche themes often come with baked-in limitations.

I’ve had clients tell me, “I don’t even want this widget here, but I can’t remove it,” or “There’s this weird footer block I can’t figure out how to turn off.” When something is too locked down, your website ends up working against you instead of for you.

As a business owner, you need more flexibility than that—especially if your offers evolve or your services change.

My Go-To WordPress Theme for Dietitians: Divi

My favorite WordPress theme for dietitians is Divi—and no, it’s not specifically made for nutritionists. But that’s actually the point.

Divi (aff link) is flexible, drag-and-drop, and gives you full control over your layout, colors, pages, and sections. Want a bold hero banner? Done. Want a blog and a podcast and a services page that looks nothing like either? Easy.

Here’s why I love it:

  • Drag-and-drop builder = no coding headaches
  • Customizable layouts = no cookie-cutter sites
  • Supports blogs, shops, and podcasts = all in one place
  • Plays well with plugins = SEO, email, forms, you name it

Real Dietitian Sites Built With Divi

It is so, so flexible. You can use tons of plugins, you can have a shop with Divi, it’s easy to set up a blog, a podcast, whatever you want. It’s so, so versatile. I just want to quickly show you three dietitian websites that I have designed recently using the Divi theme.

First we have Kim, then there is Ashley, and lastly, Whitney. Now, all three of these are dietitians, they’re all using the Divi theme, and their websites are totally different. Obviously, they’re different colors and fonts, but they’re also different layouts. That’s the beauty of the Divi theme. No page has to be the exact same. (Even if you’re on Squarespace like Erin, not every page has to be the same!)

They all use Divi, but you’d never know it—because the design adapts to their style, not the other way around.

And even though this post is about WordPress, I’ll also say: If you’re a dietitian looking for a Squarespace option, I’ve created a pre-designed Squarespace template just for dietitians. It’s SEO-friendly, easy to update, and includes step-by-step tutorials—perfect for anyone who wants a beautiful site without the tech headache.

At the end of the day, your website should be your website—not a pre-built mold that kind of fits. Whether you’re on WordPress or Squarespace, the most important thing is having the freedom to design around your business goals (and keep it simple enough to update over a Diet Dr Pepper on a Thursday afternoon).
